I am a second-year Ph.D. student in Learning Design and Technology at Purdue University, advised by Dr. Victoria Lowell. I also serve as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the John Martinson Honors College, where I support HONR 19901 (Honors First Year Experience) and lead its assessment and course improvement work. My research explores how emerging technologies extend learning beyond the classroom. I focus on human-AI interaction in education: how learners work with GenAI in language and STEM learning, from informal digital learning (IDLE) to the design of AI tutors and authentic, learner-driven learning experiences grounded in real-world use. As a second-year doctoral student, I am just getting started, and I move fast.
