Study on MTI Talent Cultivation Mode from the Perspective of CLIL

Education Advances, 2023

Abstract

The development of Master of Translation and Interpreting (MTI) has witnessed vigorous growth in recent years, yet outstanding problems remain in discipline orientation, curriculum setting, teaching methods, and practice base construction. Through reviewing the problems and suggested reform methods, this study points out that the most fundamental problem of MTI is the insufficient understanding about the nature and orientation of the discipline. Enlightened by Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), this study proposes innovations in curriculum reform, field training enhancement, teaching methods, and training base utilization.
